"I decided to start up this web site to try and bring us all back together and the wives and kids to be able to rekindle old friendship - no civvies. The aim of this site is to maintain contact, find lost friends, bring you the latest news and details of events and keep the memory of The 1st Battalion The Queen's Regiment alive.
Some of us guys have not seen each other for a great number of years, although a fair few do communicate via Facebook and of course meet up at our annual Reunion in Herne Bay, but the shocking thing, is how many of our old muckers have passed on and it is so sad we never got to see them again before they stood down.
Understand a soldiers bond ...
We all feel in our later years we are missing something, hence I am trying to get us all together.
Please come back and re-vist the site periodically, as we are constantly adding new features and information/photos etc, received from Queensmen.
We also have a Forum which is a private area of the website for registered Queensmen, where we regularly update you with information etc.
Once you have registered, you will be able to access all topics and categories, swap news, search for lost army mates, upload your photos (and view pics others have added), watch 1 Queen's videos and get the latest news on the next Reunion at Herne Bay as soon as available.
Members have been adding some very interesting photos of the regiment already.
This is a secure Forum for Ex 1 Queensmen, so any information/postings or info (including your details) will not be available to the public. You will have your own inbox and can exchange messages privately (and more importantly virus free) with other members".
